CVE ID:

8.8, (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H)

Affected Vendors:

Vulnerability Details:

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Cisco Data Center Network Manager. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed.

The specific flaw exists within the processing of requests to the fm/fmrest/lanConfig/deleteCredentials endpoint. When parsing the switchIds parameter, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
