SRC-2016-0020 : ATutor LMS view_transcript File Disclosure Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
ATutor 2.2.1 is confirmed, other versions may also be affected.
This vulnerability may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of ATutor. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability however authentication bypass vulnerabilities are known and remote registration is open by default.
The specific flaw exists in the ‘mods/_standard/chat/manage/view_transcript.php’ script. An attacker can use the ‘t’ parameter to disclose arbitrary files on the target system, readable by the web server. An attacker can combine this with other vulnerabilities to achieve remote code execution.
